Annotation
This work, along with the other opinions in this series, reframes the politician not as a moral authority, but as a Public Servant and Data-Driven Server.
This op-ed marks the 3rd phase of a series and the first US version of opinions written by myself, Eric "Protein" Moseley, regarding my global campaign: International Emergency which later branched off into "Mandate Future Politicians to Prioritize Homelessness."
This is a coordinated series addressing voters—rather than political leaders—across multiple cities, states, and countries, with each piece highlighting local perspectives and impacts and is a continuation of the opinion I wrote for The Pavement Magazine titled International Emergency and Mandate future Parliment to Prioritize Housing Insecure.
As part of a regional initiative, this article, titled :
Mandate future Politicians to Prioritize Homelessness, opinion piece for DC Report was published on March 26, 2024 I call for the DC community to prioritize homelessness the same as the economy, abortion and immigration.
It is designed to spark discussions in other communities, particularly as also reaches
Movement-Oriented Language
"This repost commentary helped to continue to spark a global conversation on the necessity of elevating homelessness to a top political priority—placing it on the same level as abortion, immigration and the economy by the voters.
Each municipality specific edition reflects the unique challenges and experiences of local residents and political leaders."As part of a broader movement, this piece brings the conversation together while triggering similar discussions in other communities worldwide."
Adaptation and Connectivity
"While tailored to The Capitol, Washington DC, this op-ed is the 3rd original piece of a series of articles addressing the importance of understanding homelessness across different jurisdictions, demonstrating the widespread relevance of this crisis." and that it is the voters obligation to Mandate politicians to prioritize a concern overlooked by the voters.
"This Capitol-focused op-ed is one installment in a coordinated effort exploring the issue from multiple urban perspectives."
"This op-ed has become part of a global movement—a coordinated series on sustainable urban planning—with each installment tailored to the unique challenges and opportunities of cities and states/counties across the globe."
