Deep Dream State is a full-cast audio drama in the desire horror genre created by Neural Nets and Pretty Patterns (ISNI 0000 0005 2877 6254). Co-directed by Neural Nets and Pretty Patterns and Bliss Blank, the series is set within the Neuralverse, a shared fictional universe built around themes of desire, identity, and institutional control. The series examines systems of manipulation through the lens of speculative fiction, with each arc focusing on a different mechanism of behavioral and psychological control. Arcs include The Chthonic Arc, The Incognitoh Arc, The Sitri Center Arc, and The Vale Four Arc. The Vale Four Arc specifically examines neuromarketing phenomena including engineered earworms, facial coding and microexpression analysis, behavioral micro-targeting, gamification and engagement loops, and astroturfing.
