Trovato Solo

This series, conceived under the principle of Freestyle & write—understood as a free style of writing without lucrative purposes—traces the complex metamorphosis of a narrative identity through two enigmatic figures: Trovato Solo and Padre Giuseppe. Trovato Solo is a purely imaginary entity, a non-pseudonym, and a utopian symbol. It is also the title of the first book. Created to be a lie to be eradicated, this fictitious character serves as a caricature of its creator, where the final result of the caricature can be more interesting than the original. Trovato Solo has the power to manipulate and modify texts, becoming their protagonist, supporter, or irreverent critic. The fictional character embodies the superficiality of a former book reviewer, while simultaneously celebrating freedom and a superficial creativity. Its disappearance, which occurred in March 2020, marks a crucial transition: the identity evolves, preparing to manifest itself in a new and more complex form. Immediately after the demise of Trovato Solo, the ambiguous figure of Padre Giuseppe emerges, whose materialization culminates with a distinct, defined face around mid-2025. Padre Giuseppe’s role remains elusive: sometimes he is a writer, a disinterested observer, or a mere walk-on. His philosophy of life is not the result of a spiritual journey, but derives from direct street experience and an excessive immersion in reading. For him, existence is not a sacrifice, but a "scar": the indelible mark left by lived experiences. Padre Giuseppe inherits and deepens the melancholic introspection of his predecessor, Trovato Solo. Despite the name and appearance, he is not a religious man, but an individual with a wise and enigmatic demeanor, whose wisdom solely springs from life experience and a profound aptitude for introspection.
