Wikipedia

Du Fu (Chinese: 杜甫; pinyin: Dù Fǔ; Wade–Giles: Tu Fu; 712–770) was a Chinese poet of the Tang dynasty, known as the "Poet-Historian" and the "Poet-Sage".
