what coincides with data from the other links However! I'm not entirely convinced that Richard André the vaudeville playwright (in 1887) is the same person as Richard André the children's book illustrator (active 1834-1907) the latter is also decidedly American, but Beeton's Christmas Annual (of-which the work was published first) is decidedly British.
