The original version of The Regatta Mystery featured Hercule Poirot, first published in The Strand Magazine, November 1935. Christie reworked the story to feature Parker Pyne for inclusion in the collection The Regatta Mystery and Other Stories (1939). It was also published in the collection Problem at Pollensa Bay and Other Stories (1991).
