American songwriter, casting director, poet, author, and entrepreneur. She has authored over two dozen books, including the famous Reviews by Cat Ellington series (2018-2023) and Memoirs in Gogyohka (2019). In music, she was the primary songwriter behind the motion picture soundtrack for the psychological thriller Dual Mania (2021), on which she wrote and composed five songs, including I Do, which won the 2019 Vegas Movie Award for Best Song; for the film, Dual Mania, she served as executive casting director; and co-authored The Making of Dual Mania: Filmmaking Chicago Style (2018), the book inspired by the film. Her entrepreneurship extends to three entities: The Black Jaguar Music Company (1982), The Centaur Casting Agency (1996), and Quill Pen Ink Publishing (2005).
