Revision Notes

“For “I Sing Against the Silent Sun,” Merc wanted to write about a poet, but they felt that they couldn’t get the poetry right. The draft of the story was already written; my job was to write the poems that Li Sin would write and slot them in where needed. […] “Actually, I didn’t even write all the poems. The first one that appears (starting with “the shape of your breath”) is one that Merc wrote before recruiting me and so is Vector’s shipsong. I did a few other things, like beta reading and offering suggestions on the story as a whole, but really Merc is being very generous by listing me as an equal co-author and I’m grateful.” from “Story Notes” in https://bookbrainz.org/edition/50958dca-2f32-4b3c-82df-1dbc8b46e12c
